About Me

Nathan Berglas, also known as Nate, is a University of Waterloo student majoring in Pure Mathematics with minors in Applied Mathematics and English.

With a strong mathematical foundation, Nate’s goal is to connect creative skills with technical ones. He has experience in C, C++, Python, GDScript, as well as Git and Bash, with a specialty in game development and machine learning. He compliments these with soft skills, such as creative writing (novels, poetry, short stories), technical writing (research, code documentation), project management, and theatre.

He has completed coursework in Abstract Linear Algebra, Multivarius and Vector Calculus, Differential Equations, Combinatorics, Probability & Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, as well as Science Fiction, Creative Writing, Literary Theory and Critisism, and British Literature.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading Eddings’ books, listening to rock and metal music, playing video and board games, bouldering, and baking bread.
